Do you know of any book I can read on the subject of gender branding. Specifically in children’s toys.
Hi Amy. I’d recommend Peggy Orenstein’s ‘Cinderella Ate My Daughter’ Rebecca Hains’ ‘The princess problem’ and Crystal Smith’s ‘The Achilles Effect’. There’s some good material on this topic in Carrie Goldman’s ‘Bullied’ as well – a whole chapter on the role of gendered marketing in bullying.
